Higher education & careers

Every girl wants to do well and be happy at university and in her subsequent career. We give our girls experienced advice, and equip them with the skills they need to get ahead.

Whether it’s higher education…

We help them:

  • develop the knowledge and skills needed to make appropriate university choices
  • plug into advice from outside school, including the Alumnae Network. Alumnae tell girls what this course is like, what this university is like. There’s no substitute for first-hand opinions – and we have the largest network of its kind in the country

… or careers…

We help them:

  • by giving face-to-face and up-to-date careers advice
  • identify and develop areas of strength and weakness through self-assessment and aptitude testing, leading to an individual careers report;
  • devise an action plan with a careers advisor;
  • develop ‘soft skills’ through our CareerStart programme;
  • gain familiarity with the post-education world through a work opportunity programme;
  • take advantage of the partnership between the school, parents, careers services, employers and local community

… or both

We help them:

  • obtain comprehensive, up-to-date and unbiased information
  • make choices that are right for them, so they develop into confident, composed and committed women
