Our commitment at the GDST is to our current and future students, not to shareholders. All our income is reinvested in our schools for the benefit of our pupils, and for the same reason we make sure we maintain a sound financial base.
We’re strong believers in giving access, too, which is why we have partnerships, bursaries and a sensitive fee policy at each school.
We also sponsor two academies – the Belvedere Academy in Liverpool, and the Birkenhead High School Academy. This support is a reflection of our continuing commitment to enabling access and inclusion, making an excellent education available to all.
The GDST’s current charitable objects are to advance the education of young people by such means as the Council shall determine, and in particular by providing:
- schools in the United Kingdom and elsewhere;
- services (including support services) to other educational charities, schools and institutions;
- other ancillary or incidental educational activities; and
- other associated activities for the benefit of the community.
