Nottingham Girls’ High School

Mrs Susan Gorham

Leading, learning, loving it …

Three words which underpin all that we do at Nottingham Girls’ High School.

Through the dedicated support of teachers who are experts in their subjects NGHS prides itself on being a nurturing environment which allows each girl to be the best she can be.

We’re very proud of our School. It’s a friendly and welcoming place where pupils feel secure and supported – the perfect environment for learning. We encourage our girls to think creatively, set themselves high standards and to work hard to achieve their goals.

Our exam results are among the best in the country, but we believe education for life involves much more. Our approach places great emphasis on the qualities that lead to a happy, successful and fulfilling life; personal and social values, consideration for others, leadership, teamwork, confidence, self-discipline and resourcefulness.

We know choosing the right school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions you’ll make as a parent. Close links between home and school are really important to us and we look to maintain close relationships with our girls’ parents throughout their time here. By talking to and listening to you, we can ensure your daughter makes the most of her talents and opportunities.

We are very proud of our achievements and our innovative approach to education so, whether you are looking for a place in Reception or further up the school, we would very much like to meet you to discuss what we can offer your daughter.
