Bursaries

The GDST is committed to enabling access to an excellent education for the largest number of bright girls, regardless of their ability to pay the full fees. Through our bursary and scholarship scheme we offer financial assistance to over 18% of our able and talented senior school girls. We recognise that bursary provision enriches our schools, enhances academic standards, is socially inclusive and helps to address social mobility.

The majority of our current bursaries are funded through fee income. With a number of charitable partnerships, and with donations and legacy gifts from our alumnae, parents and friends, we are making progress towards this important aim by building our long term bursary fund to safeguard financial assistance for girls today and for future generations.

Calling all bursary recipients

Did you receive a bursary or government grant to attend your GDST school? We would love to hear from alumnae who feel that they benefitted from their GDST education. GDST is committed to providing bursaries for talented girls and to do this we must fundraise from alumnae, philanthropists, corporates and trusts. Your experiences and achievements will ensure that we are able to continue to inspire our supporters and make a difference to girls’ lives.

If you received a bursary or direct grant/assisted place and would be happy to share your story with us, please complete the questionnaire on the Bursary recipients page.
