Howell’s students in fine voice

The hills around Howell’s School, Llandaff, were alive with music this week! On Monday 21st November, the Howell’s Junior Competition Choir (JCC) and Howell’s Senior Choir members had an exciting time recording some of their repertoire with professional sound engineers from Soundguy Recording Ltd.

The Octagon and Teaching Room at the school were magically transformed into the Abbey Road Studios and the students got to experience what it is like to record a professional track, complete with headphones and an overdubbing studio.

The Junior School girls were incredibly excited by the prospect of recording their entries for the GDST Young Choir of Year competition and the Barnardo’s National Junior Choir Competition. The Senior Choir were also thrilled to have the opportunity to professionally record some their Christmas repertoire.

The JCC choir was directed by Mr Beckett  and Mrs Phillips, and both choirs were accompanied by the talented Mr Simon Shewring.
