Academy Update - June 2008
Birkenhead High School, on the Wirral, a successful independent day school for girls aged 3-19, owned by the Girl’s Day School Trust (GDST), is transferring to independent Academy status.
Birkenhead High School Independent Academy will be a non-denominational, all-through (3-19) girls' school, located at the current site of Birkenhead High School. Subject to ministerial approval, which we expect will be given by the end of 2008, it will admit its first pupils in September 2009 to Nursery, Reception, Year 7 and Sixth Form as part of a phased process.
