The Senior School Choir performed for the second
time at the wonderful Wales Millennium Centre
At
the Wales Millennium Centre for
the second year running the Senior Choir has performed and
shown their musical talent in Christmas Presence
in which Sir James Galway was the soloist. The students really
enjoyed the experience.

Here are the girls enjoying the excitement before
the performance back stage at the WMC

An opportunity of a lifetime- with Sir James Galway
|
|
On the same day as
Christmas Presence some of our flautists
enjoyed a once in a lifetime opportunity in a flute master
class with Sir James Galway.
Sir James Galway put the class at ease and gave them lots
of top tips.

In character and enjoying
every moment!
Year 4 enjoyed
their experience learning about the Romans. As part of the
project they made Roman battle dress and paraded in formation
around the school.
“I think it was very exciting dressing up like a Roman
and being able to invade the other classes” Imogen
said. Jemima liked being able to shout and have a battle,
whilst Kristy liked singing the song and walking around
the school as the Romans did. Tara enjoyed scaring Mrs L.Davies,
attacking her in her room, she even hid behind her chair” |

Another star performer!
Two not so ugly sisters!

One of the Fairy Godmothers sings
Cinders
- the Pantomime
| Magic
and wonder arrived in Howell’s School when
all the girls in the Infant Department came together
to perform their spectacular production of
Cinders. Poetry, song, music and dance filled
the Junior School hall as all the girls took their
parts, displaying talent, enthusiasm and a tremendous
team spirit.
It was a pleasure to see
the way the process of rehearsing and producing
such a multi-dimensional production instilled a
well-founded confidence and self-belief in the children.
The culmination – a colourful, energetic delight,
complete with special effects – revealed each
and every participant to be a star. |
