They received the prestigious Impetus Award which recognises and celebrates the work of young people in Wales who aim to make a difference in people’s lives.
The award was presented to Rhiannon (Envision Prefect), Dena, Louisa and Farah by Jane Davidson AM in the National Museum of Wales.

Rick Riordan received an enthusiastic reception from both the girls in the Junior and Senior School. He spent several hours at the school reading from his new book The Lightning Thief and delighted his audience with a quiz on the classics.
On his first trip to Wales, Rick Riordan read from his novel and the girls had a question and answer session in which he told them that the book was going to be made into a movie and the Shrek Screenplay writer was currently working on it. One to look out for!
