A & AS Level Examination Results

Staff and pupils at Ipswich High School for Girls are celebrating today after receiving the best ever A level results in the school’s history. Amidst jubilant scenes at the school in Woolverstone, the 43 pupils were celebrating a 100% pass rate. 83% scored A and B grades, with a quarter of the pupils gaining straight A’s in their subjects.

The school’s Business Studies pupils had an outstanding result with 100% A grade passes, Maths were also particularly impressive, with 85% of candidates gaining grade A. Modern Languages also achieved 61% A grades.


Head, Elaine Purves, said:

“These results are amazing. They are testament to the enormous effort the girls have put in to their studies, and to the dedication of all our staff. We are immensely proud that our school is upholding its reputation at the forefront of girls’ education.”
