Outstanding performance at GDST Hockey Rally by Ipswich High School U15's

We are delighted with the performance of our U15 hockey team at the GDST Rally, who played extremely well, making it through to the final against Nottingham. View the Results Tables here and the final positions here.

 

Ipswich High School for Girls receives new minibus

We were delighted to take delivery of our new school minibus this week.  The bus has been kindly donated to the school by the IHSA.  We would like to thank all parents who have helped with the fund raising over the last five years that enabled the IHSA to be able to purchase this fabulous new vehicle.

GDST Schools Top the League Tables

Our pupils are educated within the GDST framework of consistently high achieving Schools - 12 out of a possible 23 of the GDST schools topped The Times league tables for their local authority area.

The figure would have been even higher, had the IGCSE results been included!

IHS Old Girl achieves acclaimed Sports Scholarship

Tessa Thorogood, Ipswich High School Old Girl, has recently been awarded a sports scholarship to the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester.  Tessa competed against male and female counterparts for the acclaimed scholarship, and is currently playing in the 1st XI ladies hockey team, leading the BUSA league.

Top in County for 2007 A Level and GCSE Results

Ipswich High School for Girls today attained top position in the county of Suffolk for combined GCSE and A Level results in league tables published by The Times and The Guardian. Read the Press Release Here
