Achieving potential

Achieving potentialOur former students tell us that the things they valued most from their education were that it made them more confident, more assertive, able to hold their own in new situations.

They also say that they appreciate the values of respect for others, and for their community and the importance of giving something back…

Our schools have world class facilities and departments in Sports, Music, Dance and Drama, Art, Science and Maths, and World Languages.

We are commited to the highest standards of pastoral care and special education needs

Each GDST school has its own pattern of assessment and reporting to parents through formal written reports and verbally at parents’ evenings. We recognise the value of good home / school links to enhance communication, and the benefit to pupils’ learning of having informed and supportive parents.

Underpinning this is the school’s management information system, which holds a range of data on each student, enabling both academic and pastoral staff to see whether progress is below, above or in line with expectations. In turn this means that success can be celebrated, and any issues can be identified and addressed at an early stage.
