Art Exhibition
After a busy and fulfilling year in the Art and D.T. departments, a selection of work from both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 was displayed in an exhibition held during the last week of term.

Year 2 Production: The Pied Piper of Hamelin
“The rats have gone, completely gone.  Lets sing and dance and celebrate” was the unanimous and cheerful cry of the of the villagers of Hamelin town when they realised that the Pied Piper true to his word.

4th July Independence Day
Independence Day was celebrated in the Junior Department with the children enjoying an American themed lunch. The food and decorations were enjoyed by all.

Year 6 Art Project - June 2007
Mrs Ritchie helped the Year 6 girls create sixties costumes made from bin liners. They used their own ideas to create a spectacular variety of costumes. This project culminated in a fashion parade to which we all looked forward to.

Training Orchestra Assembly - June 2007
Members of the Training Orchestra play in their termly Assembly. Many of the girls will move on to the Senior Orchestra in September, which is for players of Grade 2 and above.

The Queen's Magic Cloaks - June 2007
Yesterday we did our school play. It was called the Queen’s Magic Cloaks. I was an executioner. The story was about a queen who got some magic cloaks that the double-glazing salesman gave her.

Science Demonstration for Year 6 & 7 - June 2007

Year 2 Trip to Banbury Canal Museum - June 2007
Year 2 recently enjoyed a very successful trip to the Banbury Canal Museum. The children participated in various workshops which helped them to gain an understanding of how life was lived on canals in the past.

Year 2 visit to University Parks - June 2007
On Friday 8th June, Year 2 visited University Parks to study the River Cherwell and the pond, as part of their topic on water. Using ‘Pooh Sticks’ to find out which direction the river was flowing proved to be an exciting game.

Year 3 Grandparents' Coffee Morning - May 2007
The coffee morning for the grandparents of Year 3 was a huge success with over sixty visitors to the school. The grandparents were given a guided tour of the school and an opportunity to visit an exhibition of fashion through the decades,with some of the items dating back to the nineteenth century.

Dancing in the Nursery - May 2007
In the Nursery we have a specialist dance teacher. This term we have been dancing to ‘Bob the Builder’, ‘Rosie and Jim’ and music from ’La Fille Mal Garde’.

Year 3 went to Christ Church on Wednesday 8th May as part of their project on Oxford. They were given a tour of the cathedral and sketched the impressive architecture.

May Day Dancing - May 2007
Today we went to Greycotes to do our May Day dancing. Our dance was the patter-cake polka. The Year Fives and Year Sixes danced round the maypole and made beautiful patterns with the ribbons.

OHS Entry to the BBC Joseph Choir Search - April 2007
20 girls from Year 6 entered the BBC Joseph Choir Search competition with a video recording of their performance of one of the songs from the show.
