Jo Duncan, Head, The Royal High School, Bath

Part of the historical and beautiful city of Bath, the Royal High is the only school within the GDST to offer boarding in addition to day provision and as such it opens its doors and welcomes girls from across the world, who arrive to live, study, have fun, make friends, enjoy life and develop a global perspective in education.

The school offers an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rated Nursery; a revitalised Junior School with an inspirational vision; an exceptionally high-achieving Senior School; and a dynamic Sixth Form College buzzing with mature, confident, gregarious girls with the choice of studying either the International Baccalaureate or A-Levels.

What I've always loved on my journey through the school is the sound of girls laughing in the corridors.
Year 10 pupil, The Royal High School, Bath

The Royal High School provides a stimulating learning environment that encourages and supports girls to go ‘beyond education’. Its girls are confident and capable, ready to take risks, be adventurous in their learning and creative in exploring a rich and varied curriculum. They are given every opportunity to develop those skills, individually and collaboratively, with a group of like-minded girls. Between the ages of 3-18, the school continues to nurture the spirit of openness, curiosity and enquiry that lies at the heart of educating the whole person to achieve their highest personal, social and academic potential. The school is committed to achieving a balance between maintaining this enquiring spirit, developing unique talents, focusing on individual care and maintaining excellent academic standards that see  pupils outperforming their independent and maintained sector peers at all ages and stages.

The Royal High School Bath helps girls to become accomplished and resilient with the ability to shape their own futures and live their dreams. You are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school at any time.
