 In
Year 7 to Year 9 girls are introduced to and work with
a large variety of media. Understanding and knowledge
of artist's work, both historically and contemporary practice
are important elements of the courses.
The Pottery is a small but important part of the department
and school. Our ceramics teachers help the girls to
develop and create exciting work.
GCSE
Art
Pupils produce excellent work; all manner of mediums
are used for painting, drawing, sculpture, stained glass
and installation pieces have also been created.

AS
and A2 Fine Art
The quality of work at this level has been exceptional.
Oil painting is introduced at the beginning of AS and
although a variety of mediums and concepts are used,
oils have dominated.
Sculpture, installation
work and screen-printed material also form part of the
course.
We
would love to show you some of our work, first hand,
at one of our open evenings or afternoons.
