Nursery Curriculum

Our Nursery day is structured to provide a wide range of developmental experiences as outlined in the Foundation Stage. The six areas of learning to be covered are:

  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • Mathematical Development
  • Creative Development
  • Physical Development
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Our aim is to provide a caring and stable environment in which the children feel happy and secure. Each child progresses at their own pace through activities that are appropriately differentiated. We equip our children with the confidence and academic skills to make for a smooth transition into a Reception class. Children are active learners and leave with both self-assurance and independence.

Specialist teaching:
The children receive specialist PE, Music and Ballet lessons each week.

The topics rotate over a two year cycle.

Year One:
Autumn Term: Ourselves, Autumn, Winter and Christmas
Spring Term: Weather, Chinese New Year , Spring and Easter
Summer Term: Summer and Water

Year Two :
