Duke of Edinburgh Awards
Streatham and Clapham High School offers a highly popular and varied Award program for all three levels of the Award.

The girls take part in activities as diverse as kayaking down the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal; walking in the Peak District and Dartmoor; camping in Kent and Arundel and team building activities and map reading skills training in Box Hill.

Charity

Macmillan AppealEach form has a charity representative. Duties include liaising with her peers, coming up with ideas, helping to organise events and collecting the money raised. These representatives work closely with the school Charity Co-ordinator. Whilst all the events are great fun they also help the students who take part to develop their organisational skills, build up their confidence and give them a huge sense of achievement. There are also inter-year competitions with prizes awarded for the most successful campaigns.

Fundraising events have included a pink fair, Christmas Bazaar, strawberry tea, cake sales, staff car washing and many more.

So far we have supported:

  • MacMillan Nurses
  • GOSH
  • Breast Cancer Research
  • Red Nose Day
  • Water Aid
