Senior School Sport
 We
are committed to sport for all. Our varied and challenging
curriculum aims to develop lifelong interest, enthusiasm
and enjoyment.
Opportunities for girls when they enter
the Senior Department include:

In years
7 and 8 all girls travel to Crystal Palace National
Sports Centre for swimming in the 50 metre pool
and hockey lessons on the astro-turf. |
In year 10, girls may opt for GCSE
PE and an options programme is run at year 11 which
offers:
- ice-skating
- trampolining
- yoga
- street dance
- kick boxing

In year 12 all students have
the opportunity to take the Community Sports Leaders'
Award.
Fixtures
A fixtures list is published at
the beginning of every term. Fixtures are played both
home and away against local schools such as Jags, Alleyns,
Putney, Sutton, Croydon, Emmanuelle, Thomas's, St. Philamenas.
SCHS takes part in:
- Surrey Schools' Netball, Gymnastics,Badminton
and Cricket Competitions.
- National Schools' Netball Competition.
- GDST Rallies in Netball, Gymnastics,
Dance, Athletics, Tennis, Rounders.
- The English Schools' Athletics:
track and field and cross country.
- Lambeth Schools' Football.
- Coca Cola National Football Tournaments.
- Lambeth Netball League.
- National weekend Netball Tournament
at Pontins, Prestatyn.
- Netball and Hockey training weekends.
- Netball and Hockey tour to Barbados
- London Youth Games-Gym, Hockey,
Netball, Badmington, Trampolining.
Girls have been selected for elite
training with the County for Netall and Hockey as part
of our Gifted and Talented policy.
