Entrance Procedures

Year 7
Offers of a place in Year 7 are made on the basis of an interview and an entrance examination held in January of Year 6. We like to meet and interview all candidates and pupil's current school report is also taken into consideration.
Applications must be received by Friday 30 November 2008

The interview will last 20 minutes. Girls should bring a sample of academic work plus something they are proud of and would like to talk about. The entrance examination will test English (comprehension and essay), plus Mathematics skills, appropriate to National Curriculum Key Stage 2, Level 4 and 5. Sample entrance papers can be found below.

We want all girls in Year 7 to feel welcome. Following acceptance of a place, all new girls will be invited to a Discover Your School Day in May. This will be followed by a Lets Get Started Day in June for both new girls and those joining from our Junior School.

Chance places may also be available in other years, particularly Year 9. Please call for details.

Sixth Form
Sixth Form places are offered on the basis of GCSE results (or equivalent) and an interview with the Head Teacher and the Head of Sixth Form. Please contact the Admissions Secretary for further details.
