Bromley High celebrating over 30 percent increase in A* A Level grades

Bromley High School is celebrating an impressive set of A Level results – almost half of all grades were A*/A with more than a third of girls achieving three or more A*/A grades. The school has top A* grades increase by a third this year, 77% of grades were A*-B and A*-C grades rose to 96%, particularly impressive given the predictions of volatility in results from the new linear A levels.

Notably, those subjects where students scored 100% A*-A grades, like Dance, Music, Further Mathematics, Spanish and Physical Education, reflect the way in which maintaining a broad A level curriculum allows students to choose subjects which they enjoy and where they know that can excel.

An outstanding 94% of this year’s applicants were accepted by their preferred universities.

Angela Drew, Headmistress at the school, said, “We are thrilled to see that these excellent results have enabled so many girls to achieve their first choice of university”.
