Fabulous set of GCSE results for Sutton High pupils

The girls at Sutton High School are delighted to have achieved a fabulous set of GCSE results, with 15% of girls gaining at least nine GCSEs at A*/A and 82% of all grades at A* to B.

There were especially strong results in Mathematics, Biology, Geography, History and Religious Studies, where the percentages of A*/A grades were 73%, 90%, 66%, 65% and 70% respectively.

In the first year of Computer Science at Sutton High School, girls achieved 62% A*/A grades.

Particular congratulations go to pupils Danielle, Alexia, Erica, Alissa, Rebecca and Madeleine for achieving straight A* and A grades.

Mrs Katharine Crouch, Headmistress, commented:

“I am very pleased with these results and would like to congratulate all the girls and the staff on their hard work and success. The figures demonstrate how we work with girls to develop their skills and interests so that they can achieve and indeed exceed their potential in a variety of disciplines.”

“Once again, I am delighted with our ‘value added’ data, which shows how much progress is made by students between different stages of their education. This year we added an average of two thirds of a grade for each girl in every subject.

“Our students have bright futures ahead of them and we wish them continued success in their Sixth Form studies.”
