Highest ever recorded number of A* GCSEs at Oxford High

Staff and pupils at Oxford High School are celebrating a stunning set of GCSE results with the highest recorded number of A*s that the school has ever achieved. It has been a truly record-breaking year at the school with highlights including:

  • Over 75% of grades were A*s
  • More than half of the year group achieved at least nine grade A*s
  • Thirty percent of girls achieved straight A*s
  • Ninety-four percent gained A*-A grades

Dr Peter Secker, Acting Head of Oxford High School said:

“This year’s GCSE results confirm the findings of our last ISI inspection which rated OHS as Exceptional, the only independent senior school in Oxford with this, the highest rating.

I believe that this is testament to the exceptional teaching here at OHS combined with equally strong co-curricular and pastoral care. We are all elated for our committed and hard-working Year 11 students – the future is very bright for these remarkable young women.”
