Kensington Prep School says a fond farewell to Mrs Bonner

We are very sad to report that Mrs Joanna Bonner, who many former girls, parents and staff will remember as the Registrar, Head’s PA and Clerk to the Governors at Kensington Prep School, is retiring after 23 years.

Her daughter Georgina, was at the school from 1988 to 1994 when it was at 17 Upper Phillimore Gardens, and then Joanna joined the school staff in 1995.

She has tirelessly supported the school ever since and skilfully helped to co-ordinate the school’s move to new premises in Fulham in 1997 which was formerly the site of The Marist Convent School.

Kensington Prep head, Mrs Lynch wished her all the best on behalf of the school: “We will sorely miss her utter dedication, efficiency and poise. She has always given Ken Prep 110% and more hours than there are in a day. The school won’t be the same without her. She is the fount of all knowledge about the school, parents, pupils and staff, a brilliant support to prospective parents and has been a rock to me!  We wish her a wonderful new life in her retirement. She will be a hard act to follow.”
