Oxford High students take the lead on STEM partnership

Over the course of this academic year, Oxford High School has been hosting weekly STEM activities for 24 primary school pupils from local school, St Nicholas’ School, as part of its outreach partnership.

Each week has been packed with investigative and fun science activities, all mentored by Oxford High’s Year 12 STEM leaders.

The outreach partnership has flourished for five years, and each year culminates in a STEM Summer School that lasts for two days, led by Year 9 mentors.

This year the Summer School took place over the 13th to 14th June. The Year 9 mentors coordinated and supervised a series of particularly fabulous STEM challenges that the children will never forget.

Congratulations to all of the inspiring STEM leaders at the school!
