We are delighted to announce our 2017 Mentoring Scheme is now open!
Could you offer another alumna the chance to realise her potential by becoming a mentor?
Could you benefit from a valuable year of professional and personal development by joining our scheme as a mentee?
With an Alumnae Network of over 70,000, we have an ideal community to support a mentoring programme, especially given the "common bond" so many alumnae tell us they have with other former GDST students. Top business leaders such as Sheryl Sandberg and Karren Brady have been in the news, talking about the need for women to mentor, coach, and "pull up" other women, to help them realise their ambitions, whatever career or path they have chosen. Over the past 3 years, we have matched nearly 200 alumnae onto our Mentoring Scheme and found that mentoring is a great way to help both parties benefit from a mutual relationship - the mentee gains from the knowledge and guidance of someone more experienced, whilst the mentor gains a fresh perspective and a sense of reward.
We would therefore love for you to be involved in the 2017 scheme, either as a mentor or mentee.
If you are still undecided, read about the experiences of two alumna, Jacynth Bassett and Katrina Beechey who took part in the 2016 Mentoring Scheme in our latest edition of Verve.
Don’t forget to recommend the Mentoring Scheme 2017 to all friends and family who are part of the GDST Alumnae Network, so we can continue to support more driven and inspiring women.
The deadline for applications is Friday 24 March 2017.
