Putney High alumna’s dance agency takes on blockbuster films

AMCK, Aicha McKenzie’s (class of 1995) dance agency, is taking on the world of blockbuster films.

AMCK dancers have appeared in the new Disney Aladdin cast as well as the four star reviewed film, Rocket Man.

Earlier in the year the talent agency provided dancers for the Comic Relief performances and Little Mix’s show at the Global Awards.

A choreographer herself , Aicha McKenzie enjoyed extraordinary success in her last year of Putney High School, winning three medals at the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Canada, and becoming the first black British Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion.

“The school encouraged me to go after [my] dreams; and my sports teacher, Maureen Hayes, made sure I had all the support I needed,” Aicha commented.

Aicha founded her own successful choreography company, AMCK Dance and subsequently AMCK Management, becoming a leading figure in the fashion and dance industries.
