Putney High School celebrates its 125th Year!

Putney has reached even greater creative heights in this their 125th year. Cadogan Hall provided a spectacular venue for an anniversary concert with the London Mozart Players while Putney’s A Level art students have had a record breaking year with 7 successful applications to Art Colleges.

This summer their annual Art and Design Technology exhibition was opened by Putney alumna, Kathleen Soriano, independent curator, art historian and broadcaster. Commenting on the high standard of the work on display, she said, “It’s strong, diverse, and in some cases really brave!”

Ambitious drama productions including Jesus Christ Superstar have provided a launch pad to students who will be going on to tread the boards at drama school. Those with acting ambitions will soon be gaining the support of a Director in Residence, who will follow hot on the heels of the school’s Orator in Residence, starting at school this September to develop pupils’ presentation, and debating skills.
