Stars out at South Hampstead High as GCSE results unveiled

South Hampstead High School is celebrating its outstanding GCSE results today.

Girls and staff were delighted to learn that 63% of their results were graded A*. There were 13 girls (15%) who achieved straight A*s in ten subjects or more and 55 girls (65%) achieved at least 10 A* or A grades. Overall, 91% of results fell into the A*-A category.

Students did exceptionally well across all subjects. In History, Latin, Music and RS, 100% of candidates attained A*-A results. There were excellent performances in DT, English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Spanish with over 90% of girls achieving A*-A grades.

Across all results, the A*-B score was 98.6%.

Sandrine Paillasse, Deputy Head, will be the school’s Headmistress (Acting) until January 2017.
