State of the art Sixth Form and Arts Centre planned for Oxford High School

Oxford High School is aiming to build a fantastic new home for their Sixth Form and Arts studies ready for 2020. The school has submitted plans which will see the old Art and Design buildings replaced by a brand new Sixth Form Centre, Arts and Wellbeing facility at their campus on Belbroughton Road.

Art and Design has always been a popular subject amongst OHS students and we have an amazing array of talented and successful alumnae such as Amy Isles Freeman, Sarah Knowland and the entrepreneurial genius Emma Bridgewater. Now, it’s time to update our facilities to nurture the girls’ wide range of talents including fine art, theatre design, clay, oil, textiles, animation and photography. The proposed building will also be home to a dedicated new Sixth Form Campus with learning, teaching and social spaces designed with the girls’ input to provide an aspirational and modern campus for Sixth Form studies.
