Another fantastic year for GCSEs across GDST schools

2026 has been another outstanding year for GDST schools in GCSE exam results. Across our family of schools, students have continued to outperform both the national and independent school averages.

Alongside strong attainment, this year’s results demonstrate the growing number of girls choosing to pursue advanced study in STEM subjects.

More GDST students than ever before took Computer Science GCSE this year, while the number studying an additional GCSE-level Maths qualification has more than doubled over the past four years. Through a combination of curriculum innovation, enrichment opportunities and industry collaborations, such as our pioneering Space Tech programme and Choose Maths partnership with Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, GDST schools are helping more girls see themselves as future scientists, engineers, coders and technology leaders.
