Brighton & Hove High School celebrates Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary

Last Friday (22nd April), Brighton & Hove High School made the most of the opportunity to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death by holding a spectacular 12 hour long Shakespeare marathon. Throughout the day, there were performances and readings featuring stellar individual performances and brilliant group activities. Both students and staff showcased their dynamic acting abilities.

In the evening, there was a shared reading of all 154 of Shakespeare’s sonnets, a pleathora of voices united by spectacular poetry. But there was also a lot of laughter too – the staff A Midsummer Night’s Dream dream team is still waiting to hear from any talent spotters or acting agents out there…
