Former Howell’s student wins a “WeAreTheCity’s Top 100 Rising Star” Award

Everyone at Howell’s School, Llandaff was delighted to hear that former student Sarah Stevens, from the Class of 1998, has won an award in the defence category of the WeAreTheCity’s Top 100 Rising Star Awards. The prestigious Rising Star awards aim to showcase the variety of female talent in the UK and to create role models across 20 different industries and professions. The awards focus on celebrating the achievements of women under a management level regardless of age. In response to winning this award, Sarah said: “I am extremely proud to have been named as a WeAreTheCity Top 100 Rising Star 2016. It was an honour to have even been nominated alongside such inspirational women. I’m extremely grateful to whoever nominated me, the judges and all those who voted for me. I hope to continue to raise the profile of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and the benefits of a career at sea to both women and the LGBT community. A career at sea is not just for boys!”  Many congratulations, Sarah; a wonderful achievement!
