The fun of the Christmas fair

On Friday 1st December, Howell’s School kicked off the festive season in style with a Christmas Fair, which took place in the Sports Hall and Day Room.

More than 40 stall holders, including many fundraisers run by Howell’s students, set up shop for the afternoon, and students, parents, grandparents, staff, alumni, governors and friends enjoyed visiting the wide selection of stalls.

Father Christmas popped out of his North Pole workshop for the afternoon and parked his sleigh in the Drama Room; once word spread that he’d arrived, students from Nursery to Year 13 (and even Principal, Sally Davis!) joined the queue to have a photo with him.

The Christmas Café, run by a wonderful team of volunteers from the school’s Parent Pyramid initiative, was a huge hit with visitors who stopped off for a drink and cake. Howell’s XL radio station was in attendance throughout the afternoon, broadcasting a selection of Christmas tunes, taking requests and conducting interviews with students and staff.
