Fun On the slopes for Howell’s Sixth Form students
A group of Year 13 students from Howell’s headed for the ski slopes in Switzerland during the Christmas holidays. The weather was definitely on their side, and they had fantastic alpine views of the area around Gstaad. The girls enjoyed a fun-packed programme, including swimming, bowling, ice-skating, movie night, and a bonfire complete with sing songs.
Skiers of all abilities were catered for, making excellent progress and even beginners were paralleling like pros by the end of the week. On the last day, all groups joined together at lunch for a traditional meal of cheese fondue and rösti in a rustic mountain hut. The students had a fantastic time and the teachers thoroughly enjoyed accompanying them.
