GCSEs 2024 — Students at Portsmouth High School achieve a tremendous set of GCSE results
Pupils at Portsmouth High School GDST were celebrating this morning after receiving their GCSE results; with A*-A and 9-7 grades up on 2023 results.
‘Once again, we celebrate with the pupils a tremendous set of GCSE results,’ said Headmistress, Jane Prescott. ‘These come as a result of hard work and determination, excellent teaching and a strong work ethic.‘
Mrs Sarah Paget-Tomlinson, Head of Year 11, added.
‘I am exceptionally proud of my wonderful Year 11,’ she said. ‘They demonstrated the perfect balance of working hard and maintaining a healthy sense of perspective; a calm, measured and fun group of students.’

At GDST senior schools we tailor our approach to how girls learn best, providing them with the attributes they need to excel. In our schools, academic excellence is a given and our girls beat the GCSE national average year on year. But GDST girls also learn to be confident, happy and fearless, to be prepared for the opportunities of the future.
We have 23 independent schools and two academies in England and Wales, and we congratulate students from across our family of schools for achieving outstanding results again this year.
