Netball residential weekend at Condover Hall

The GDST Netball Weekend in March involved nearly 500 netball players from Years 7 and 8 and 50 staff members from across 20 schools, demonstrating the popularity and the strength of the sport in GDST schools.

The girls had the privilege of meeting Ama Agbeze, an England and Superleague netball star who chatted with the teams and presented the medals.

There were four round robin tournaments for the following age groups – Year 7A, Year 7B, Year 8A and Year 8B. After all teams had played each other in their groups, it went to Cup and Plate Semis and Finals.

When the girls were not playing netball they could take part in the exciting team building activities on offer at the venue, Condover Hall in Shropshire. These included abseiling, an aerial trek, a bouldering wall, a climbing wall, archery, laser maze, laser conquest, and a zip wire.

There was also evening entertainment for the girls with a disco, a camp fire and a cinema room and other activities from which to choose.
