A*s soar at Bromley High as it celebrates record breaking GCSE results

It has been an exceptional, record-breaking year at Bromley High School with 47% of all GCSE entries graded A* and 74% A*-A. The exceptional results saw more than half of the school’s Year 11 achieve nine or more A*/As.

There were outstanding results in many subjects with Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics averaging 62% A* grades and spectacular results in History (93% A*/A), Geography (96% A*-A) and Music (100% A*-A).

The girls were unfazed by the new grade 9s with 11% of entries in reformed GCSEs achieving the rare ‘Super A**.’

“I am so proud of a wonderful group of girls who have worked incredibly hard with their teachers to achieve these superb results whilst maintaining such enthusiastic commitment to Music, Sport, Drama, Debating and all the other activities Bromley High has to offer.”  

An amazing 22 girls, a quarter of the year group, achieved 8 or more A*s. Of these, 7 girls achieved 9 A*s, Eszter Britz, Imogen Duke, Rebecca O’Rourke and Lilly Tuesley 10 A*s and top performers Fabienne Gnehm, Hannah Affany and Priyanka Patel 11 A*s.
