South Hampstead excels again at A Level

Girls and staff at South Hampstead High School are today celebrating their achievements at A Level. Over 25% of the results were graded A*. Additionally, the percentage of top grades has risen, with over 94% of grades at A*-B. This represents a 3% gain from last year. There were exceptional performances in Economics, English, Further Mathematics and Religious Studies. Over 50% of girls achieved straight A*s and A grades, which will enable them to continue their studies at many of the top universities in the UK and internationally.

South Hampstead girls taking the Extended Project Qualifications (EPQ) also achieved an outstanding outcome, with 93% of girls gaining an A* or A grade.

Additionally, South Hampstead shows substantial gains this year in AS Level results. Over 65% of grades are A, which is a 14% increase from the previous year. The percentage of A/B grades is 86%, representing a 10% rise in results. There were exceptional performances in Art, Classics (Greek and Latin), English, French, Geography, Government & Politics and Spanish.

Commenting on the results, Headmistress Helen Pike said, ‘These results are testament to the hard work of the girls who are celebrating them – and to support of parents, teachers and many others in the SHHS community. I wish everyone many more successes!’
