Sutton High School exceeds 75% A*-B grades for the third year running

Girls at Sutton High School are again celebrating a fantastic set of A-level results, with the proportion of A*-B grades exceeding 75% for the third year running.

In Art, Drama, Design & Technology, Economics, Geography, History, Politics, Psychology and Religious Studies, all students were awarded exclusively A*-B grades.

The results mean that girls will be taking up places on prestigious higher education courses all around the country.

Mrs Katharine Crouch, Head of Sutton Girls, commented:

“I am very proud of all our staff and students today. We produce excellent results year after year, but the aim is always to ensure that each individual girl can realise her goals.

“Our students are exceptionally well-prepared for the next step in their academic journey, not least through our award-winning careers service, which offers one-to-one UCAS support from application to acceptance.

“We also run a highly successful Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) programme, which gives girls the intellectual freedom to choose their own topic and enables them to experience university-style research for themselves. This year, 65% of our EPQ grades were A*-A.

“I wish all our girls the very best for the bright futures they have ahead of them. We hope they will come back to visit and share their achievements with us.”
