Sydenham High alumnae listed for Women of the Future Awards

Not one but TWO Sydenham High alumnae were shortlisted for the Women of the Future Awards.

New alumna Khadijah Mellah (Class of 2019) was nominated in the Young Star category and Jacynth Bassett for the Entrepreneur award. Khadijah recently received the accolade of winning the all-female Magnolia Cup – an amateur jockey’s charity race – and Jacynth Bassett is the founder of the first age-inclusive online independent fashion boutique, the-Bias-Cut.com   – and the founder & chair of Advocates For Ageing.

Now winner of the Young Sportsperson of the Year, Khadijah Mellah is also the subject of an ITV documentary Riding A Dream which aired on 2 November. She was joined at the screening in Brixton by the Duchess of Cornwall who is the patron of the Ebony Horse Club where Khadijah learned to ride.
