Wimbledon High girls are driving the STEAM agenda

Wimbledon High girls have been getting involved in all things STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) this term.

Every girl is lucky enough to have a STEAM lesson regularly either led by our inspiring Scientists in Residence or subject leaders with support from STEM Ambassadors

Particular highlights this term have included:

·       Our amazing Junior girls winning Leader awards for their ideas at the “If you were an Engineer, what would you do?” day at Kingston University. Find out more.

·       Our fantastic Senior girls pitching their ideas to Dragon’s Den – look out for their products in Rymans very soon. Find out more.

·       Finally our Design and Technology Exhibition and Awards evening where we were joined by Clare Gaskin, WHS alumna.

We would love to hear from more alumnae who are studying any STEAM subjects or have gone onto careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths – or the Creative Arts!  Please email joanne.joyce@wim.gdst.net if you would be willing to share your story or come to one of our events.
