A number of GDST schools have been nominated for a prestigious Independent Schools of the Year Award 2020

A record number of GDST schools have been shortlisted in the prestigious Independent Schools of the Year Award 2020. The awards are designed to showcase the best of independent schools and celebrate the student experiences they provide.

The number of nominations received by GDST schools across the 21 awards categories reflects the  strength of the academic offering as well as the breadth and diversity of life in GDST schools.

This year’s judging panel is once again chaired by Dr Helen Wright, education advisor and former Vice Chair of the ISC. Other judges include James Priory, the Head at Tonbridge School and Charlotte Avery, Headmistress of St Mary’s School, Cambridge and former President of the Girls’ School Association.

Finalists will be announced in early September and the winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in early October.

GDST schools have been shortlisted for the following:

Blackheath High School has been shortlisted for both Independent Prep School of the Year and Independent Girls’ School of the Year

Brighton Girls has been shortlisted for the Marketing Award for Effective Brand Communication.

Bromley High School has been shortlisted for an Independent School of the Year award in the Sporting Achievement category.

Putney High Junior School has been shortlisted for an Independent School of the Year Award in the Environmental Achievement category.

Portsmouth High School has been shortlisted for an  Independent School of the Year Award for its Student Careers Programme.

Notting Hill & Ealing High School has been shortlisted for the Independent Girls’ School of the Year Award.
