The Sydenham High classes of 2010-13 came back to reminisce and meet up with their fellow alumnae at the school’s annual OGA Pimms Party on 29 June. The slightly wet weather didn’t dampen spirits as alumnae chatted in the new Orangery, renewing acquaintances with classmates, teachers and surroundings – and of course taking photographs galore. By the end of the evening promises were being made to organise reunions at Sydenham High’s 130th Birthday lunch which is being held on Saturday 25 February 2017.
The event coincided with the school’s acclaimed D’Art exhibition so alumnae were able to wander through two professionally curated galleries, showcasing exceptional art and design technology work from across the school, including this year’s superb GCSE and A Level pieces.
The evening was also a chance for many to say an early goodbye to Mrs Pullen, who retires in December after 26 years at the school, 14 of them as Headteacher. Specific farewell celebrations are currently being planned which will be communicated to alumnae next term.
