We are proud to partner with businesses and grant making organisations to align their support to their local area and bespoke projects which allow them to see the greatest impact on young girls’ educational opportunities.
Their support helps the GDST to give talented girls from all backgrounds the life-changing opportunity to secure the future they choose for themselves, not the one they inherit.
Our long-standing relationship with HSBC takes several forms:
the HSBC Scholarship Programme provides life-changing bursary funding for girls entering the GDST from maintained schools and we are very grateful for HSBC’s generosity. These scholarships are only available in Senior Schools and Sixth Forms at specific schools.
HSBC also co-sponsors The Belvedere Academy and is an active and valuable participant on our Academy Trust Board
HSBC provides pre-university internship opportunities to GDST students, enabling them to gain useful experience of the business world
These programmes form part of HSBC's wider community investment in education. Every year, it supports 17,000 scholarships around the world. Its education work focuses on helping disadvantaged children, building business and financial literacy, providing environmental education and improving international understanding.
Visit HSBC's website for further information about its work in education.
John Lyon's Charity
John Lyon’s Charity gives grants to benefit children and young people up to the age of 25 who live in nine boroughs in central and northwest London. Since 1992 it has awarded over £68 million to groups working to provide a wide range of opportunities for children and young people through education.
Three GDST schools (Northwood College for Girls, Notting Hill & Ealing High School and South Hampstead High School) have benefited from bursary awards from the charity since 1997.

Garfield Weston Foundation
Over the last 50 years the Garfield Weston Foundation has supported a wide range of organisations and charitable activities across the UK.
The Garfield Weston Foundation is generously supporting bursaries at the GDST. This funding will be used to support seven girls entering GDST senior schools in 2017 and throughout their seven years at a GDST school.
