The stunning Explore Floor project at Kensington Prep School was shortlisted for Education Project of the Year at the recent AV Awards 2017. The school's innovative project was chosen alongside many entries across the education sector including multi-million pound projects in universities as well as other schools.
It is a fantastic achievement. Congratulations to Deputy Head, Claire Raines, Head of e-learning, Alana Keys, Director of Finance and Operations, Gareth Atkinson and IT Network Manager, Chris Robb, who were the team who oversaw the development of the space and use of state-of-the-art technology throughout the school.
The awards ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 29th September 2017.
A versatile space
The spacious Explore Floor has multi-screens and different areas which are perfect for girls to collaborate in small groups for research and project work.
It is also a very versatile space - with its multi-screens and a ceiling-mounted projector, at the flick of a switch the room can be converted into an immersive experience. For example, the room can be transformed in a space depicting London along theThames, or a scene from a St Lucia rain forest.
