The Lorna Cocking Scholarship has been established to mark the outstanding contribution made by Lorna Cocking, who retired as Chair of the GDST in 2014, after a very successful seven year tenure.The prize, which is awarded annually, is intended to help provide financial support for students during the next stage of their education.The scholarship will be tenable for three years and will have an annual value of £1,000. There is no limit to the number of applications each school can submit and if applicable, students can apply for both the Lorna Cocking Scholarship and the Frederica Lord University Scholarship but will not be awarded both. The funding is intended to assist students during the next stage of their education.
If you are a student and would like more information about applying for the Lorna Cocking Scholarship or if you would like to view the eligibility list, please speak to your Head of Sixth. Application details will be sent to schools in January and the winners will be announced in May of each year.
