For over 150 years, we’ve led the way in girls’ education as the UK’s largest educational charity, driving social mobility and empowering women. Each year, generous gifts from our community – alumnae, parents, staff, and friends – help us continue this mission of helping girls learn without limits. Every contribution matters, regardless of size; what counts is taking part and showing collective support for girls’ futures.
The easiest way is to donate online, however, there are several ways to give if you’d prefer an alternative. Please see below for available options. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Yes. Regular gifts can be made by direct debit on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis and can either be set up online by selecting the school and project you wish to support and then selecting to make your donation by Direct Debit. Another option is to download our donation form, print and fill it out and return it to our postal address. A regular gift allows you to spread the cost of your donation over time and ensures the GDST can plan for the future.
We accept gifts via CAF and also CAF vouchers which may be sent to our postal address – GDST Philanthropy Team, 10 Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5DH.
Remembering the GDST in your will is one of the most personal and significant ways you can help our schools and support the future of the GDST. For more information about leaving a legacy, please visit ‘Leave a Gift in your Will’.
Gifting shares, buildings or other assets to the GDST can be particularly tax-effective. Donors who give in this way receive income tax relief on the full current market value of the asset and will also benefit from Capital Gains Tax savings. If you wish to explore this type of giving, you should first seek guidance from your own financial advisor before contacting the Philanthropy team.
Payroll giving means you can give to charity directly from your pre-tax salary. Each £1 given will cost a basic taxpayer 80p and a higher rate (40%) taxpayer 60p. Some companies also offer a matching scheme, doubling charitable gifts made by their employees. To find out if your organisation offers these schemes, you should contact the HR department at your workplace.
If you live outside the UK and pay taxes in your country of residence, you may be able to make your gift to the GDST more tax efficient through an organisation such as Transnational Giving Europe or the British Schools and Universities Foundation. For advice, please get in touch with the Philanthropy Team.
If you are a UK taxpayer and complete a Gift Aid declaration, we can reclaim an additional 25p in every £1, making your gift worth even more at no extra cost to you. Higher rate taxpayers can also claim additional relief on their charitable donations.
You can complete a Gift Aid form online here or you may download and print out a donation form and return it to Philanthropy Team, Girls’ Day School Trust, 10 Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5DH, United Kingdom.
