Portsmouth High School

Portsmouth High School is located in a delightful setting in the heart of Southsea in Hampshire and enjoys a surprisingly spacious site for a city school.

Our expertise lies in teaching girls and we work to ensure every girl reaches her full potential both in her academic studies and in her personal development. Our Nursery has been judged ‘Outstanding’, our Junior School ranked 29th in the top 100 schools by The Sunday Times and our innovation and excitement about learning is reflected in our excellent GCSE and A Level results year after year.

Pastoral care at Portsmouth High is outstanding and a real strength of the school. There are many opportunities for girls to develop and expand their personal skills in areas such as leadership, creative thinking and resilience which are so important in preparing them for their future studies and careers. At the end of a Portsmouth High School education girls leave us as confident young women, well prepared for the challenges ahead. Whatever their aspirations, they are well placed to reach out and make them a reality.
