Stellar A Level results mean bright futures for Birkenhead High students

Birkenhead High School Academy is delighted to announce another highly successful year for its Sixth Form students. The school had 249 entries at KS5 with a fabulous 96% attaining A Level or BTEC equivalent; over half of all grades were A*-B, and 29% of all grades were A*-A!   

The school’s staff work tirelessly to ensure that students study the right courses for their own individual strengths and these results show that their Sixth Formers are securing the best futures for themselves, whatever career path they wish to take.

Student Lily-Maia Baraclan-Smith, who achieved straights As in all her subjects said: “I’ve really come into my own since attending BHSA Sixth Form. I love the school! I am so pleased with my results and very excited to be going on to study History at King’s College, London.”

Olivia Lawrenson also achieved outstanding A-level results: “I’m so proud and happy with my results and now I can go on to study Law at university! Thank you to all the staff at BHSA who have stretched my learning so that I could achieve so highly!”

Principal, Rebecca Mahony said: “I am absolutely thrilled with the performance of our students! Their effort and motivation have ensured wonderful outcomes, with most going on to study at the university of their choice on diverse courses such as Medicine, Veterinary Science, Film, Prosthetics, Fine Art and Classics. I am very proud of our students’ achievements, and of the staff who have helped them so much. I wish all our leavers every success for their futures!”
