Top results mean top destinations for Oxford High girls

Once again, Oxford High School students are celebrating excellent results, which are leading them to top-class universities across the UK and abroad. With more than 66% grades at A*/A and 92% A*- B, students are taking up places to read a wide range of subjects at Oxford and Cambridge including Medicine, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Spanish and History. Thirty three girls have achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades across the full range of 26 A Levels on offer at the school.

Every year, the individual girls set off well-prepared to pursue their dreams and this year many have taken a global perspective on their area of study. There is a noticeable shift to courses which include international relations, international law and international business alongside modern foreign languages, economics and politics. Courses with a year abroad are a popular choice.

Judith Carlisle, Head of Oxford High School said “I am hugely proud of our girls’ achievements this year, in particular those who have faced significant personal challenges in the last year or two and have shown their characteristic OHS resilience to win places at top-class universities. Excellent A level grades are a key aspect of the inspirational education at OHS and they open the door to the next stage of life. We know that our young women will go on to be leaders in a global setting. Well done Oxford High Sixth Form!”
