Wimbledon High Alumna recognised for efforts in the workplace

Alison Berryman left Wimbledon High in 1993 and is now Chief Operations and Technology Officer at Barclaycard UK Cards.  She has worked in banking for over 17 years and has just been featured at #24 in the ‘The Out at Work & Telegraph Top 50 LGBT Executives List’.  Unlike other lists it is not a measure of seniority, but on how LGBT employees are going above and beyond to influence change at their companies and beyond.

As Alison commented “We all have a role to play in creating the culture in which we work. Barclaycard sets an excellent example. It has a strong diversity and inclusion agenda with 5 pillars: gender, LGBT disability, multigenerational and multicultural. I believe that these pillars are not just for the minorities, they are for everyone.”

Alison has been voted an Inspirational Role Model in the British LGBT Awards, shortlisted for the European Diversity Champion of the Year at the European Diversity Awards and voted #26 in the Financial Times Top 100 LGBT Executives.
